Pick the Peak Heated Gloves for deep cold, wet snow and long hours outside, the Mountain Heated Gloves for most Canadian winter days, and the Active Heated Gloves if you run, ski cross-country or ride a fat bike. If your fingers are always the first to go numb, choose heated mittens: keeping the fingers together is the warmest option.
All Heat Up heated gloves and mittens run on rechargeable 7.4 V lithium batteries, have 3 heat levels on one button and a 1-year warranty. They differ in insulation, waterproofing, grip and fit.
Start with what you will be doing
Long hours in deep cold or wet snow
Ski days in January, snowmobiling, ice fishing, or work outside at a -30 °C wind chill. The Peak gloves add Thinsulate™ insulation, a genuine leather palm, fingers and inserts, and our most waterproof membrane. They stay warm even with the battery off.
Typical winter days
Skiing, skating, shovelling or watching a game from the bleachers. The Mountain gloves are insulated and waterproof like a good ski glove, with heat over the back of the hand and the fingers.
When you move a lot
Running, fat biking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. The Active gloves are slim and stretchy, with a silicone grip on the palm and full dexterity. They block wind and shed light snow, but they are not meant for heavy rain or wet snow.
Hands that are always cold
The Mountain Heated Mittens keep the fingers together, so they share heat. For kids aged 4 to 10, the Junior Heated Mittens have one big button a child can press through a snowsuit.

Gloves or mittens?
Gloves give you dexterity for zippers, bindings, a phone or a shovel. Mittens are warmer because the fingers warm each other, so they are the safer bet if you stand still a lot or your fingers always get cold. Mountain and Peak gloves have touchscreen-compatible fingertips; the Mountain mittens have a touchscreen-compatible thumb and index finger.
What the waterproof rating means
The number in millimetres is the water pressure the membrane resists before water gets through. The Peak's 15,000 mm membrane is half again as water-resistant as the Mountain's 10,000 mm, which matters when you grip wet poles or spend the day in wet snow. Both are breathable, so sweat gets out.
Getting the right size
Each product page has a size chart. Measure your hand and compare. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one for extra comfort. For kids, measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger. A glove that is too tight squeezes out the insulating air and feels colder.
What comes in the box
One pair of gloves or mittens, 2 rechargeable batteries (one per hand, zipped into a cuff or wrist pocket), a dual wall charger that charges both at once, and a user guide. A full charge takes about 4 hours (about 6 hours for the Active gloves). Spare battery and charger kits are available if you want a second set for long days.
