User Guide
Everything you need to get the most heat out of your Heat Up gloves, mittens, vest, bermuda shorts or socks.
Before the first use
- Charge the batteries fully with the included charger: about 4 hours for most gloves, mittens and socks, about 6 hours for the Active gloves and the vest and bermuda power bank.
- Charge indoors, at room temperature, away from heat sources.
Connecting the batteries
- Open the battery pocket and plug the battery (or the power bank) into the connector inside.
- Tuck the battery and cable into the pocket and close it so they stay dry and don’t move.
Choosing the heat level
- Gloves, mittens, vests and bermudas have 3 heat levels (low, medium, high), chosen with a single button. Socks have 4 levels, set by remote control or with the button on the sock.
- In deep cold, start on high to warm up quickly, then drop to low to stretch the runtime.
- Runtime depends on the level and the outside temperature. Each product page lists the runtime for every level.
Cold-weather tips
- Keep spare batteries in an inside pocket: lithium batteries deliver less energy when they are cold.
- Turn the heat off when you go inside to save the batteries for later.
Washing
- Always remove the batteries before cleaning.
- Socks: delicate cycle or hand wash. Gloves and mittens: wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Air dry only. Never use the dryer, a radiator or a boot dryer.
Storing for the summer
- Store the batteries outside the garment, about half charged, in a cool and dry place.
- Top them up every few months and charge them fully before winter.
Safety
- Use only Heat Up batteries and chargers.
- If a battery looks swollen, damaged or gets unusually hot, stop using it and contact support@heatup.ca.
- When flying, carry the batteries in your carry-on.
